Even and Odd Numbers
Even numbers can be split into two equal groups with nothing left over. Odd numbers always leave one extra when you try to split them.

Words to know
- even:
- A whole number that can be divided by 2 with no remainder.
- odd:
- A whole number that leaves a remainder of 1 when divided by 2.
Examples
- 1Even: 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 — they all end in 0, 2, 4, 6, or 8.
- 2Odd: 1, 3, 5, 7, 9 — they all end in 1, 3, 5, 7, or 9.
